World Book Day - 3rd March
The time has nearly come again to send your little ones off to school dressed as their favourite literary heroes, heroines or villains. But you’re safe to put the sewing box down, all you parents lacking a crafty or creative streak – the Crazy Wizard has a whole host of costumes and outfits in stock that’ll save you hours of toil.
Little tricksters can transform themselves into their favourite comic book character, Dennis the Menace for the day with this super costume set. This costume comprises a long sleeved top in Dennis’ signature red and black stripes, mid length shorts and a cheeky Dennis mask complete with attached hairstyle.
If your little monster is more of a Horrid Henry, we’ve got the perfect outfit in store, too. This is a set which includes the character’s trademark top, blue trousers and Henry face mask, so he’ll have an excuse to stay in character all day – though you’ll have to make sure his horrid behaviour stops once the costume is put away!
There’s no place like home… If your little Dorothy is headed for the yellow brick road, she’ll love this Wizard of Oz costume: a blue and white sparkly gingham dress with blouse sleeves and bows for her hair. Ruby red shoes, basket and pet Toto not included.
Does your little madam have a bossy nature? Why not dress her up as 101 Dalmatians’ Cruella De Vil? This wicked fashion mogul’s costume includes a spotty Dalmatian-print skirt and cape, a black bodice with a licenced logo in the centre, and red satin bow and faux gem detailing. Finish the look with Cruella’s trademark two-tone wig.
If your little one loves the Funny Bones books by Janet and Allan Ahlberg then this Bitty Bones costume is the very thing! It’s a black, skeleton-print all-in-one and skull print hat: an easy to wear costume that’ll do for Halloween, too.
For all budding wizards and J.K. Rowling fans World Book day is a no-brainer: they’ll want to become Harry, Ron or Hermione for the day. And they can, with our super Hogwarts costume. It’s got a pair of glasses if your little wants to be Harry, plus a wand and black hooded cape with the Gryffindor crest of arms on the front. Why not add an authentic-looking Gryffindor house tie to the ensemble, and send them to school on their very own Nimbus 2000 broomstick if a game of Quidditch is on the World Book Day timetable?
